Trenton Town Hall – 1861

Trentport Historical Society was started in 1980 by a group of individuals that wanted to save 55 King Street. built in 1861, used as the former Police Station and previously the first Town hall. Now the building is home of the Heritage Cafe, operated by the Historical society and The James Alexander Theatre home of The Bay of Quinte Community Players.

The Heritage Cafe is a non-profit venture ran by The Trent Port Historical Society, the profits raised from the Cafe will go to benefit our Heritage and Culture in Quintewest, from Heritage signs, Monuments, supporting the Arts to Theatre… A community needs its these items to instill Pride in who we are and where we came from.
