Kingston Accommodation Partners & Tourism Kingston have recently launched a French website www.visitekingston.ca in time for the spring leisure travel season.
The website is an important new marketing tool for Kingston to attract and engage French-speaking visitors. The site features an overview of the destination’s food, culture, music, and attractions plus provides planning tools and a database of tourism operators. It represents the start of a French-language content marketing program – KAP and Tourism Kingston will monitor website activity and performance and invest in additional content in future years.
“We have wanted to produce a French-language website for some time” Megan Knott, Executive Director, Tourism Kingston & Kingston Accommodation Partners, “we want to do this right and to make a commitment to continuous investment in French content and marketing campaigns as part of a perpetual marketing strategy This is just the beginning of a concerted effort to connect with this important audience segment”.
In addition to the French site, Kingston will be investing in a French-language digital marketing campaign later in the summer.
The website was made possible through funding support from Regional Tourism Organization 9 (RTO9). RTO 9 is a regional tourism organization that is funded by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Sport. RTO 9 actively promotes tourism for the region and works to support and grow the tourism industry through product development initiatives. This is one of many important initiatives made possible through RTO9 support.
“French-speaking travelers are a key target audience for our region, and we are committed to helping our regional tourism partners grow marketing efforts to attract more visitors through important projects like this” notes Bonnie Ruddock, Executive Director, RTO9.
Many thanks to all our partners for your continued support!
