RTO 9 is a regional tourism organization that is funded by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Sport. RTO 9 actively promotes tourism for the South Eastern Ontario region and works to support and grow the tourism industry through product development and marketing initiatives.

Regional Tourism Units
The Ontario Ministry of Tourism Culture and Sport has Regional Tourism Units with advisors that use local connections to help businesses, communities, and/or not-for-profit organizations in the heritage, sport, tourism, and culture sectors. These advisors link organizations to government initiatives and funding opportunities and broker new supportive partnerships with the voluntary and private sector that generate revenue to help organizations deliver quality community services. Within the boundaries of RTO 9, there are 3 Tourism Regional Development Advisors.
